أعلن الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم فرض عقوبات على فريق غلطة سراي التركي، إثر قيام جماهيره بإلقاء مقذوفات وإشعال ألعاب نارية والتسبب في اضطرابات خلال رحلته الأسبوع الماضي لملاقاة يوفنتوس الإيطالي في الملحق المؤهل لدور الـ16 من دوري أبطال أوروبا.
ولن يتمكن نادي غلطة سراي التركي من بيع تذاكر لمشجعيه في مباراة دوري أبطال أوروبا أمام ليفربول الثلاثاء القادم في ذهاب دور الـ 16.
وذكرت تقارير إعلامية أن رجلًا وابنته أُصيبا بجروح بعد إلقاء ألعاب نارية على مشجعي يوفنتوس في تورينو.
وخسر غلطة سراي 2ـ3 أمام مضيفه يوفنتوس، الأربعاء الماضي، لكنه تأهل إلى دور 16 بنتيجة 7ـ5 في مجموع مباراتي الملحق بفضل هدفين في الوقت الإضافي ليمنع الفريق الإيطالي الذي لعب بعشرة لاعبين، من تعويض خسارته ذهابًا.
وبعد خسارته 2ـ5 في إسطنبول، كان يوفنتوس في موقف صعب، لكنه فرض وقتًا إضافيًا على منافسه وبدا أن الكفة ستميل لصالحه قبل أن يسجل فيكتور أوسيمن في نهاية الشوط الأول من الوقت الإضافي ويضيف باريش ألبر يلماز هدفًا في الدقائق الأخيرة.
وفرضت لجنة الانضباط بالاتحاد الأوروبي غرامة قدرها 40 ألف يورو «46 ألف دولار» على بطل تركيا بسبب تصرفات جماهيره. ورفضت لجنة الاستئناف في الاتحاد الأوروبي، الأربعاء، الطعن الذي تقدّم به غلطة سراي ضد العقوبة.
ومن المقرر أن يستضيف غلطة سراي فريق ليفربول الثلاثاء القادم، على أن تُجرى مباراة الإياب 18 مارس الجاري.
The European Football Association announced sanctions against the Turkish team Galatasaray, following its fans throwing projectiles, setting off fireworks, and causing disturbances during their trip last week to face Italian Juventus in the playoff qualifying for the Round of 16 of the Champions League.
Galatasaray will not be able to sell tickets to its fans for the Champions League match against Liverpool next Tuesday in the first leg of the Round of 16.
Media reports indicated that a man and his daughter were injured after fireworks were thrown at Juventus fans in Turin.
Galatasaray lost 2-3 to host Juventus last Wednesday, but qualified for the Round of 16 with a total score of 7-5 over the two-legged playoff thanks to two goals in extra time, preventing the Italian team, which played with ten players, from compensating for their loss in the first leg.
After losing 2-5 in Istanbul, Juventus was in a difficult position, but they forced extra time on their opponent and it seemed that the tide would turn in their favor before Victor Osimhen scored at the end of the first half of extra time, and Barış Alper Yılmaz added a goal in the final minutes.
The UEFA disciplinary committee imposed a fine of 40,000 euros ($46,000) on the Turkish champions due to the actions of their fans. The UEFA appeals committee rejected Galatasaray’s appeal against the penalty on Wednesday.
Galatasaray is scheduled to host Liverpool next Tuesday, with the return match taking place on March 18.
