وعلمت «عكاظ» من مصادر مطلعة أن وزارة الرياضة حرصت على حفظ حقوق النادي المالية وتسريع إجراءات تحويلها وفقاً للاتفاقية المبرمة عند انتقال اللاعب إلى نادي الخليج؛ تقديراً لظروف النادي الصعبة.
ومن المتوقع أن يسهم هذا المبلغ في تسوية عدد من المطالبات المالية لمدربين ولاعبين سابقين، وإغلاق بعض القضايا المنظورة ضد النادي لدى الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (FIFA). وكان النادي قد واجه 24 قضية مرفوعة ضده، نجحت جهود الإدارة المكلفة في إنهائها ما عدا قضية واحدة يُتوقع تسويتها فور إيداع المبلغ. ويأتي ذلك في وقت أعلنت فيه الجمعية العمومية للنادي أن الدين العام بلغ 60 مليون ريال، بينما تعمل الإدارة الحالية برئاسة خالد رويفد الصاعدي على تقليص المصروفات لتتناسب مع الإيرادات؛ إذ تبلغ الإعانة المقطوعة من وزارة الرياضة 233 ألف ريال شهرياً، في حين تتجاوز المصروفات الشهرية أضعاف هذا الرقم بكثير. ونجحت الإدارة في تخفيض التكاليف التشغيلية بنسبة تتجاوز 62٪ مقارنة بالعام الماضي.
هذا وتسعى الإدارة الحالية لمواجهة الأعباء المالية المرتفعة، خصوصاً مع وجود عقود لاعبين تصل مبالغها إلى 100 ألف ريال و50 ألف ريال شهرياً للثنائي محمد العتيبي، ومحمد حسين عبدالغني، إضافة إلى رواتب الأجهزة الفنية والإدارية للفريق الأول لكرة القدم والفئات السنية وعددها 8 فئات و3 درجات في كرة السلة. وفي حال نجاح النادي في إغلاق القضايا المرفوعة و«فتح الشاشات» (رفع المنع من التسجيل) ستبدأ الإدارة في التعاقد مع لاعبين جدد لتدعيم كرة القدم (الفريق الأول والفئات السنية) والفريق الأول لكرة السلة، علماً بأن فريق أحد يتذيل ترتيب دوري الدرجة الثانية بسبب قرار منع النادي من التسجيل، مع تبقي 13 جولة على نهاية الدوري.
