فيما أعلنت وزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية أنه بدءا من شهر يناير الجاري سيلزم صاحب العمل بتحويل راتب العمالة المنزلية بشكل شهري على المحافظ الإلكترونية للعمالة المنزلية، إلا أن الوزارة كشفت عن وجود استثناء لفئة من العمالية المنزلية، إذ بينت أن العامل إذا كان في فترة التجربة ( 3 أشهر ) ولم يتم إصدار إقامة له، فإن صاحب العمل لن يلزم بتحويل الراتب إلكترونيا إلى العامل في فترة التجربة.
وكانت الوزارة قد بدأت في شهر يوليو لعام 2024 مراحل تطبيق تحويل راتب العمالة المنزلية إلكترونيا، إذ اشترطت في تلك الفترة تحويل الراتب إلكترونيا للعمالة المنزلية الجديدة القادمة إلى المملكة لأول مرة، ثم في 1 يناير من عام 2025 اشترطت على أصحاب العمالة المنزلية ممن لديهم 4 عمال منزليين فأكثر تحويل راتب العمالة إلكترونيا، وفي 1 يوليو 2025 أصبحت إلزامية على أصحاب العمل ممن لديهم 3 عمال فأكثر، وفي شهر أكتوبر الماضي بدأ تطبيق التحويل الإلزامي لمن لديهم عاملان منزليان فأكثر، وخلال شهر يناير الجاري أصبحت إلزامية على الجميع.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that starting from this January, employers will be required to transfer the salaries of domestic workers monthly to electronic wallets for domestic workers. However, the ministry revealed that there is an exception for a category of domestic workers, stating that if the worker is in the probation period (3 months) and has not been issued a residency permit, the employer will not be obligated to transfer the salary electronically to the worker during the probation period.
The ministry began implementing the electronic salary transfer for domestic workers in July 2024, requiring during that period the electronic transfer of salaries for new domestic workers coming to the Kingdom for the first time. Then, on January 1, 2025, it required employers with four or more domestic workers to transfer salaries electronically. On July 1, 2025, it became mandatory for employers with three or more workers, and in October of the previous year, the mandatory transfer was implemented for those with two or more domestic workers. During this January, it became mandatory for everyone.
