أكد مدرب الخليج لكرة القدم جورجوس دونيس، في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عقد عقب تدريبات الفريق، أهمية المواجهة المرتقبة أمام الحزم ضمن منافسات دوري روشن للمحترفين، مشيراً إلى أن اللقاء يجمع فريقين متقاربين في جدول الترتيب.
وأوضح أن الخليج يمتلك 27 نقطة مقابل 28 نقطة للحزم، بفارق نقطة واحدة فقط، ما يمنح المباراة أهمية كبيرة في صراع تحسين المراكز.
وأشار دونيس إلى أن الخليج لم يحقق الفوز في آخر 9 مباريات، مبيناً أن الجهاز الفني عمل خلال الفترة الماضية على تصحيح الأخطاء التي ظهرت في المباريات السابقة، وأضاف أن الفريق يسعى لاستعادة توازنه والعودة إلى طريق الانتصارات في هذه المرحلة الحاسمة من الموسم.
وأشار دونيس الى أن الحزم يدخل المباراة بعد فوز في الجولة الأخيرة، وقبلها تعادل وخسارة، وهو ما يعكس تقارب المستوى بين الفريقين وصعوبة المواجهة، كما شدد على أن الفريق خسر آخر مواجهتين، ولذلك فنحن واللاعبون نتطلع للتعويض وتحسين موقع الفريق في جدول الترتيب حيث يحتل المركز الحادي عشر.
