يدشّن فريقا «الحرس الوطني» بالقطاع الغربي و«شرطة» محافظة جدة منافسات دور الـ8 لبطولة «جدة 2026» لكرة القدم، في اللقاء الذي سينطلق عند الـ11:00 من مساء اليوم (الثلاثاء)، على ملعب القرية الأولمبية.
وكان «الحرس الوطني» (حامل لقب نسخة 2025) قد انتصر على «الشرطة» بنتيجة (2-1) في افتتاح مباريات المجموعة (B)، التي تصدرها الأول برصيد 4 نقاط، فيما حل «الشرطة» وصيفاً بـ3 نقاط.
ويسعى «الحرس» لتأكيد تفوقه ومواصلة حملته للدفاع عن لقبه، بينما يطمح «وصيف المجموعة» لرد اعتباره وتحقيق مفاجأة من العيار الثقيل بإقصاء «البطل».
وكان «الحرس الوطني» قد بلغ هذا الدور بعد انتصاره (2-0) على فريق «إدارة التعليم» بمحافظة جدة، فيما تأهل «الشرطة» بفوزه (2-1) على فريق «وزارة الرياضة» بمنطقة مكة المكرمة.
وفي المباراة الثانية تنتظر الجماهير مواجهة نارية وصداماً مرتقباً يجمع بين فريق «سلام الجامعة» من جدة ونظيره «أكاديمية نور» من مكة المكرمة، ضمن الدور نفسه، عند الـ12:50 فجر الأربعاء، على ملعب القرية الأولمبية.
وكان الفريقان قد التقيا في افتتاح مباريات المجموعة (F)، وانتصر أبناء جدة بنتيجة (1-0) قبل أن يتصدروا المجموعة بعدها برصيد (6 نقاط)، بينما حل «نور» وصيفاً بـ3 نقاط، لذا يشكل ذلك الانتصار أفضلية معنوية لـ«الجامعة»، فيما يسعى لاعبو الأكاديمية للثأر من خسارتهم وحجز مقعدهم في المربع.
يُذكر أن «نور» تأهل لهذا الدور بعد فوزه بركلات الترجيح (4-2) على فريق «الأسطورة» من مكة، فيما تجاوز «الجامعة» فريق «BH» من القنفذة بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة (5-4).
وسيلتقي الفائز في دور الـ4 مع المنتصر من لقاء فريق «الحرس الوطني» بالقطاع الغربي و«شرطة» محافظة جدة، يوم الجمعة القادم على الملعب الرديف بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، في أول صدام مرتقب يجمع فرق الجهات الحكومية بفرق الهواة المشاركة في البطولة.
The teams of the “National Guard” from the Western Sector and the “Police” of Jeddah Province will kick off the Round of 8 matches for the “Jeddah 2026” football tournament, in a match that will start at 11:00 PM tonight (Tuesday), at the Olympic Village Stadium.
The “National Guard” (defending champion of the 2025 edition) had previously defeated the “Police” with a score of (2-1) in the opening matches of Group (B), where they topped the group with 4 points, while the “Police” came in second with 3 points.
The “Guard” aims to confirm its superiority and continue its campaign to defend its title, while the “group runner-up” hopes to redeem itself and achieve a major surprise by eliminating the “champion”.
The “National Guard” reached this stage after winning (2-0) against the “Education Administration” team from Jeddah, while the “Police” qualified by defeating the “Ministry of Sports” team from the Makkah Region with a score of (2-1).
In the second match, fans are looking forward to a fiery encounter and an anticipated clash between the “University of Salam” team from Jeddah and the “Noor Academy” team from Makkah, within the same round, at 12:50 AM on Wednesday, at the Olympic Village Stadium.
The two teams had met in the opening matches of Group (F), where the Jeddah team won with a score of (1-0) before they topped the group with (6 points), while “Noor” came in second with 3 points, making that victory a psychological advantage for the “University”, while the academy players seek to avenge their loss and secure a spot in the semifinals.
It is worth mentioning that “Noor” qualified for this round after winning on penalties (4-2) against the “Legend” team from Makkah, while the “University” surpassed the “BH” team from Al-Qunfudhah on penalties with a score of (5-4).
The winner in the Round of 4 will face the victor of the match between the “National Guard” from the Western Sector and the “Police” of Jeddah Province, next Friday at the auxiliary stadium of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, in the first anticipated clash between government teams and amateur teams participating in the tournament.
