اعتذر نجم النادي الأهلي المصري، إمام عاشور، عن تخلفه عن السفر رفقة بعثة الفريق الأول لكرة القدم إلى تنزانيا، استعداداً لمواجهة يانغ أفريكانز في دوري أبطال أفريقيا، اليوم (السبت).
وكان الأهلي قد أعلن يوم الخميس الماضي عن إيقاف إمام عاشور لمدة أسبوعين، إلى جانب تغريمه مبلغ 1.5 مليون جنيه مصري (أكبر غرامة مالية في تاريخ النادي بحق لاعب)، وذلك بسبب عدم التزامه بالسفر مع بعثة الفريقإلى تنزانيا.
وكتب إمام عاشور عبر حسابه على موقع «إنستغرام»: «للأسف، كلام كثير مغلوط وغير صحيح يتردد بشأن ما حدث، أتقبل أي قرار يصدر من الأهلي، وأثق في تفهم مسؤولي النادي لموقفي جيداً، أنا أعاني من برد شديد ودرجة حرارتي مرتفعة وتقلبات في المعدة بشكل غير طبيعي، وأحصل على مضادات حيوية، وللأسف كل أسرتي تعاني نفس الأعراض».
إقرار بالخطأ واعتذار
وأضاف: «أبلغت طبيب الفريق الدكتور أحمد جاب الله بظروفي الصحية وعدم قدرتي على السفر، وهذا إجراء غير كافٍ في مثل هذه الأمور، لكنني أخطأت بحسن نية، وكان من المفترض أن أتواصل مع مدير الكرة الكابتن وليد صلاح الدين كي يبلغ المدير الفني وتتم الإجراءات الطبية المتبعة عند التخلف عن السفر».
وتابع: «الموضوع أغلق، وتواصلت الليلة الماضية مع الكابتن وليد صلاح الدين، وأنا تحت أمر النادي، وجمهور الأهلي سندي بعد ربنا سبحانه وتعالى، أعتذر للنادي والجهاز الفني وزملائي، وقبل كل ذلك لجمهور الأهلي».
وواصل: «أنا فخور باللعب في أكبر نادٍ في أفريقيا، وعلاقتي بجماهيره العظيمة لا تقبل القسمة على اثنين، أرجو من الجميع إغلاق هذا الموضوع، ومن يردد بأنني أريد لي ذراع النادي أقول لهم: حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل، لا أحد يستطيع لي ذراع النادي، ولا يمكن أن أفكر بهذه الطريقة أبداً».
وختم رسالته: «تشرفت بارتداء الفانلة الحمراء، وخلال ثلاث سنوات لي في النادي لم أقصر في حق الأهلي ولا جماهيره، وهذا حقهم عليّ، وجودي في الأهلي يعوضني عن كل شيء، كل التوفيق لزملائي والجهاز الفني، ونحقق الفوز الذي يسعد كل الأهلاوية في لقاء يانغ أفريكانز».
The star of the Egyptian Al Ahly club, Imam Ashour, apologized for his failure to travel with the first team’s delegation to Tanzania, in preparation for the match against Young Africans in the African Champions League today (Saturday).
Al Ahly announced last Thursday the suspension of Imam Ashour for two weeks, in addition to fining him 1.5 million Egyptian pounds (the largest financial fine in the club’s history against a player), due to his failure to comply with traveling with the team delegation to Tanzania.
Imam Ashour wrote on his Instagram account: “Unfortunately, a lot of incorrect and untrue statements are being circulated regarding what happened. I accept any decision made by Al Ahly, and I trust that the club officials understand my situation well. I am suffering from a severe cold, a high fever, and unusual stomach fluctuations, and I am taking antibiotics. Unfortunately, my entire family is experiencing the same symptoms.”
Admission of Mistake and Apology
He added: “I informed the team doctor, Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, about my health conditions and my inability to travel. This is not sufficient in such matters, but I made a mistake in good faith, and I should have contacted the team manager, Captain Walid Salah El Din, to inform the coach and follow the medical procedures in case of failing to travel.”
He continued: “The matter is closed, and I communicated last night with Captain Walid Salah El Din, and I am at the club’s service. The Al Ahly fans are my support after God Almighty. I apologize to the club, the coaching staff, my teammates, and above all, to the Al Ahly fans.”
He went on: “I am proud to play for the biggest club in Africa, and my relationship with its great fans is not up for debate. I ask everyone to close this matter, and to those who say that I want to pressure the club, I say: God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. No one can pressure the club, and I can never think this way.”
He concluded his message: “I am honored to wear the red jersey, and during my three years at the club, I have not fallen short in my duty towards Al Ahly or its fans; this is their right over me. My presence at Al Ahly compensates me for everything. I wish my teammates and the coaching staff all the best, and I hope we achieve the victory that delights all Al Ahly fans in the match against Young Africans.”
