أصدر العاهل المغربي الملك محمد السادس بياناً رسمياً الخميس، أكد فيه أن الأحداث المؤسفة التي شابت نهائي كأس أمم أفريقيا 2025 بين المنتخبين المغربي والسنغالي لن تنال من روابط الأخوة والتقارب بين الشعوب الأفريقية، وأن الشعب المغربي لن ينساق وراء الضغينة أو التفرقة.
وقال البيان الصادر عن الديوان الملكي: «إذا كان هذا الحفل الكروي القاري الكبير الذي احتضنته المملكة قد شابته الأحداث المؤسفة التي شهدتها الدقائق الأخيرة من المباراة النهائية لهذه البطولة التي جمعت الفريقين المغربي والسنغالي، والتي تم خلالها تسجيل وقائع وتصرفات مشينة؛ فإنه بمجرد أن تتراجع حدة الانفعال والعواطف ستنتصر روابط الأخوة الأفريقية بشكل طبيعي؛ حيث إن هذا النجاح المغربي هو أيضاً نجاح لأفريقيا كلها».
وأضاف الملك المغربي: «سيظل المغرب فخوراً بكونه قدم على أرضه شهراً من الفرح الشعبي والحماس الرياضي، وساهم بذلك في إشعاع أفريقيا وكرة القدم بالقارة»، مشيراً إلى أن المملكة «كانت وستظل بلداً أفريقياً كبيراً وفياً لروح الأخوة والتضامن والاحترام الذي كرسه على الدوام تجاه قارته».
وأكد البيان أن «المخططات المعادية لن تبلغ أبداً مرادها، وأن الشعب المغربي يدرك كيف يميز الأمور، ولن يقبل بالانسياق وراء الضغينة والتفرقة»، مشدداً على أن «لا شيء يستطيع أن يمس بالتقارب الذي تم نسجه على مدى قرون بين شعوبنا الأفريقية، ولا بالتعاون المثمر القائم بين مختلف بلدان القارة والذي ما فتئ يتعزز بشراكات أكثر طموحاً».
وختم الملك بتهنئة كافة المواطنين على جهودهم في إنجاح تنظيم البطولة، مؤكداً أن المغرب سيواصل التزامه الراسخ لفائدة أفريقيا موحدة ومزدهرة، من خلال تقاسم تجاربه وخبراته.
يأتي البيان الملكي بعد أيام من نهائي كأس أمم أفريقيا 2025، الذي توجت فيه السنغال بلقب البطولة بفوزها 1-0 على المغرب البلد المنظم بعد الوقت الإضافي، وسط فوضى غير مسبوقة شهدتها الدقائق الأخيرة بانسحاب مؤقت للاعبي السنغال احتجاجاً على احتساب ركلة جزاء للمغرب، قبل عودتهم لاستكمال اللقاء.
The Moroccan monarch King Mohammed VI issued an official statement on Thursday, confirming that the unfortunate events that marred the final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 between the Moroccan and Senegalese teams will not undermine the bonds of brotherhood and closeness among African peoples, and that the Moroccan people will not succumb to hatred or division.
The statement issued by the royal palace said: “While this great continental football celebration hosted by the kingdom was marred by the unfortunate events that occurred in the final minutes of the match between the Moroccan and Senegalese teams, during which disgraceful incidents and behaviors were recorded; as soon as the intensity of emotions subsides, the bonds of African brotherhood will naturally prevail; as this Moroccan success is also a success for all of Africa.”
The Moroccan king added: “Morocco will remain proud to have hosted a month of popular joy and sporting enthusiasm on its land, contributing to the radiance of Africa and football on the continent,” noting that the kingdom “has been and will remain a great African country faithful to the spirit of brotherhood, solidarity, and respect that it has always upheld towards its continent.”
The statement emphasized that “hostile schemes will never achieve their goals, and the Moroccan people know how to discern matters, and will not accept being swept away by hatred and division,” stressing that “nothing can affect the closeness that has been woven over centuries among our African peoples, nor the fruitful cooperation that exists among various countries on the continent, which continues to strengthen through more ambitious partnerships.”
The king concluded by congratulating all citizens on their efforts in successfully organizing the tournament, affirming that Morocco will continue its steadfast commitment to a united and prosperous Africa by sharing its experiences and expertise.
The royal statement comes days after the final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, in which Senegal was crowned champion by defeating the host Morocco 1-0 after extra time, amidst unprecedented chaos witnessed in the final minutes with a temporary withdrawal of Senegalese players in protest against the awarding of a penalty to Morocco, before they returned to complete the match.
